“I liked the nostalgic feel to it, plus I love candy and it fit my personality,” Lance says. Lance and Stephanie happened across the popular retail chain with more than 100 locations nationwide featuring nostalgic candies and sodas and liked the theme. “If those two events hadn’t happened, I doubt we ever would have looked into Rocket Fizz.” “I came out of that pretty grateful to be alive and started thinking about ways to create more security for my family but also by doing something that was fun,” Lance said.

Lance was laid off from his job in 2015 and shortly after had a serious medical scare. The Monahans started the candy and pop shop after two life-changing events. Soda lovers can grab a bottle of traditional fruit and cola sodas or try unique flavors like key lime pie and even Buffalo hot wings soda. Candy fans “of a certain age” will remember Chiclets and Necco wafers, Big Hunks and Goo-Goo Clusters and those sweet treats – and many more - are on display everywhere at Rocket Fizz. Lance and Stephanie Monahan wanted to plug into an enterprise guaranteed to trigger feel-good memories and pleasurable new experiences.
